First of all: What is eXcentia?
eXcentia is the company behind de idea and the first release of the eXternalDB package. eXcentia's experience with OTRS deployment and adaptation has already helped in critital environments such as hospitals or large-scale support systems for educational resources management.
The decision to OpenSource this project and offer it to the community licensed under the Affero GPL v3 license terms, allows you to use it or collaborate in its development. You can take advantage of the community knowledge using the project's SourceForge webpage.
